Visitors who’ve recently been to an A&E, UTC, or MIU can submit the wait time they experienced, helping others make better decisions. Every community report is clearly labelled so you always know where the data comes from. Together, we’re building the most complete picture of emergency care waiting times in the UK.
We bring together multiple sources to give you the most up-to-date view of A&E, Urgent Treatment Centre, Minor Injuries Unit, and Walk-in Centre waiting times across England and Wales.
Our primary source. We automatically check each hospital trust’s website at regular intervals and record the waiting time they publish. This is the same data you’d see if you visited the trust’s own site.
For hospitals that don’t publish waiting times online, we rely on submissions from real visitors. These are clearly marked with a COMMUNITY badge so you can see exactly where the data came from.
Where a trust doesn’t publish directly but a third-party app or service surfaces the same publicly available information, we may use that as a source. We always aim to get data as close to the original source as possible.
